Transfer blow for Manchester United as targeted Wan-Bissaka replacement close to joining Bayern Munich

Ajax right-back, Noussair Mazraoui is close to sealing a move to Bayern Munich at the end of his contract with Dutch Champions, Ajax Amsterdam, this summer.

The 24-year-old Moroccan has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United to team up with his former boss at Ajax, Erik Ten Hag, who is set to lead United at the start of next season.

After the reports that English right-back, Aaron Wan-Bissaka is not in the Dutchman's plans, the speculations of Mazraoui moving to United intensified but it now looks Bayern Munich has beaten them in the race and the defender will be headed for Germany.

He is set to undergo a medical in the coming days before signing the necessary papers to complete the move.

Mazraoui graduated from the Ajax Amsterdam Academy in 2016 and has only played for the club as well as the Atlas Lions of Morocco.
