Newcastle United eyeing summer swoop for Arsenal's fan favourite

Premier League money back, Newcastle United are weighing up £50m bid for Arsenal’s Scottish defender, Kieran Tierney.

Newcastle boss Eddie Howe is a fan of the former Celtic star, who moved to the Emirates in 2019 and ponders £50m bid for him.

However, the 24-year-old is not interested in a move away from the club, where he has become one of the focal point of the project, even though he has played only 56% of the Gunners' Premier League matches since joining.

He has battled with series of injuries in each of his three seasons at the Emirates but when fit and available, only few in the Arsenal squad offers as much as he does.

Tierney made 22 league appearances in the concluded season and it was obvious Mikel Arteta’s side suffered in his absence. The Gunners are in the market for a backup but Tierney surely is the man for them going forward.
