Arsenal defender seals permanent move to the Bundesliga

Arsenal's Greek defender, Kostantinos Mavropanos has joined Bundesliga side, Stuttgart on a permanent basis after spending the last two seasons on loan at the club.

Mavropanos joined Arsenal in Arsene Wenger's final six months at the club and made a total of six Premier League starts before joining Nurnberg for the final six months of the 2019-20 season.

The 24-year-old spent the last two season on loan at Stuttgart and helped them survive relegation this season, starting in all of his 31 league starts.

The clause in the previous loan agreement with Arsenal include an obligation to buy should the club avoid relegation and that has now be honoured after Wataru Endo’s late goal on the final day of the season secured their status in the top flight next season.

Stuttgart paid £3 million to Arsenal and the Gunners have also inserted a ten percent sell on clause in the agreement.
