The 22-year-old German has managed 11 goals and six assists in 34 appearances across all competitions for Thomas Tuchel’s side this season but a good percentage of those numbers has come recently.

Havertz has been performing well in recent times, scoring crucial goals for the European champions. The highlight his performances was scoring the decisive goal for Chelsea at the FIFA club world cup in february 2022 converting from the spot.

Recently replace Romelu Lukaku as Chelsea's main man in attack as the Belgian has been struggling in recent times in front of goal and Havertz has prove worthy replacement having not failed the trust of the Manager, Thomas Tuchel.

His latest goal came against Newcastle United at Stamford bridge finishing brilliantly from a Jorginho's cross at the 89th minute of the game. Chelsea went on to win 1-0 in the fixture claiming vital three points in their quest to seal the third place finish.

Dropping Romelu lukaku for Kai havertz in recent matches has proven the manager's decision right and who would not love to see the German finally living up to the hype after his early struggles at the club ?

It is not up to Romelu Lukaku if he has enough fight in him to get his second spell at the club back on track in time before the end of the season as the club at this time might be contemplating letting go of him in the summer.
