18 year old Xavi Simons could be on his way back to Barcelona after the events at Paris-Saint Germain have not fallen to his preference.

The Dutch prodigy left Barcelona in 2019 to join the French side and signed a contract worth €1million a year until the summer of 2022.

Simons was promoted to the first team in preparation for the new season but was soon returned back to train with the under-19 squad coached by Zoumana Kamara, a decision that has not been well received by the player and his entourage.

Despite his impressive performances during the preseason where he scored two goals in back to back games, the player is not happy with the fact that he has not been given a chance with the first team.

The former La Masia player is now considering returning to Barcelona at the end of his contract with PSG and be a part of the new project with Xavi, teaming up with his ex-teammates like Pedri, Gavi and Nico.
