The Freshers’ team of Agricultural Administration under the tutelage of Coach Farouq started well and scored two early goals through their two frontmen to establish a confortable lead.

The two goals however would not have come if not for the errors by the goalkeeper of Soil Science and Land Management, Ayodele Praise, who had an afternoon to forget between the sticks.

Their opponent, team Soil Science and Land Management, managed by Aminullahi Mustapha scored early in the second half from the spot. Hamzat Mohammed converted from 12 yards after a foul in the box to reduce the deficit and ensured it was an even contest in the half.

Despite the pressure, team Agricultural Administration held on for the win that see them go top of group A before the other teams in the group play on the second day of the tournament.
