MMN redemption the biggest test they might have to face in the Champions League

After a disappointing end to their first start together in a one all draw at Club Brugge in PSG opening game of the champions league, their trio of Messi, Mbappe and Neymar could all be in the lineup today when they host English Champions, Manchester City.

After the draw in Belgium, the trio started together again the following weekend against Olympic Lyon and things did not go as planned, even though Les Parisens did grabbed a late winner, it did not come until after the substitution of Lionel Messi who has been out of action since.

The Argentine returned to training on Monday and is in the squad to play on Tuesday. Along with Neymar and Mbappé, they look for their first Champions league win against last season beaten finalist.

The biggest tests for their Champions league title credential. As the outcome of the match can not be predicted with City one of the best teams in Europe, all eyes will be on this trio on Tuesday night and the Parc des Princes.

PSG hold a perfect record in the league after eight games, and the league performance is encouraging but they know their trident will have to do more for them to be real contenders for Europe biggest club competition.

A good test for them to start that will be against another side who is touted favourites for the silverware. City have also had a mixed start to the season in the league but the weekend's win over Chelsea has changed the facet of their season.

Second in the Premier league travel to the first in the French league, anything from a win put manager Mauricio Pochettino under more pressure, as he already has things to battle with at the club.

The manager made a decision to substitute Lionel Messi against Lyon and the Argentine did not take it well, upsetting the moods around the club.

A win against City tonight will definitely lift spirits around the club, and Lionel Messi continues his search for first goal for new club, PSG. It could well be the toughest game they will play at the club.
