Kylian Mbappe overtakes Zlatan Ibrahimovic to set a new standard in Ligue un

The PSG Paris-Saint Germain forward has been named the Ligue un Player of The Month in the French top-flight for the month of August, after his contribution helped his side remain unbeaten throughout.

Mbappé's contributions were vital as the team beat Troyes, Strasbourg, Brest and Reims.

The 22year old recorded three goals and two assists in the four games, without firing blank in any of the games.

He wins the award for the sixth time, taking his tally ahead of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who has five during his spell with Les Parisens.

Mbappé has now win the award most times that any other player in the history of the Ligue un.
