Everton-Liverpool: Everton look to end Liverpool Derby dominion in over a decade

Everton will be looking to end their winless run against Liverpool when they host their rivals at The Goodison Park in the first Merseyside derby of the new season.

It will be ten years tomorrow, when Tim Cahill and Mikel Arteta goals helped Everton beat Liverpool at The Goodison Park and have been without a win against their neighbor since.

22 matches been played afterwards have either ended in draw or victory for The Reds. Everton will also take positives from their fairly good home record against Liverpool, who have been without a win in their last three visits to the Goodison and just one win in their last eight visits.

Having started with season excellently with four wins in four league games and a place in the quarter final of the Carabao Cup, Everton will be looking to take advantage of their neighbors, who lost 7-2 to Aston Villa before the international break.

Liverpool have had a missed start to the season despite winning three of the four league games played so far. However, their elimination from the Carabao Cup and a 7-2 loss to Aston Villa have overshadowed their start to the season.
