CHELSEA PLAN TO KEEP STRIKER BEYOND THE SUMMER

Chelsea Football Club are set to offer Frenchman Olivier Giroud a contract extension.

The World Cup winner who joined The Blues in January 2018 from Arsenal has made 9 premier league appearances this season whilst he was a substitute in 4 of those, scoring two goals.

With Tammy Abraham struggling for match fitness before the suspension of matches, Giroud has become a regular starter for the London club as Frank Lampard sees him a better option than Michy Batshuayi.

Chelsea have been linked with moves for strikers as the likes of Pierre Emrick Aubameyang, Timo Werner and Olympique Lyonnais Moussa Dembélé all linked with the Stamford Bridge Landlords.
