Super sub, Vincent Aboubakar crashed Serbia’s party as the Indomitable Lions earns first World Cup point in 20 years

Cameroon, inspired by Vincent Aboubakar come from 3-1 down to earn a massive point against Servia as both sides just about keep themselves in the hunt for a round of 16 ticket.

The African side went through all the emotions in the match. From taking the lead to leveling, falling by one, then two, scoring two in two minutes and nursing the believe that they can win it. Yes, it all happened Al Wakrah.

Serbia scored twice in the space of two minutes just before the end of the first half. Cameroon scored twice in the space of two minutes just after the hour mark. A showing for the ages that was.

Rigobert Song’s men took the lead just before the half hour mark as Jean-Charles Castelletto as Nouhou Tolo’s corner was flicked into his path for a simple finish at the back post by Nicolas N'Koulou.

Serbia however hit back with a quick double in the added minutes of the first half. Dusan Tadic’s free-kick met the head of Strahinja Pavlovic, who beats the stand in Goalkeeper for Cameroon to level the score at 1-1.

Dragan Stojkovic and his minions were celebrating the go ahead goal two minutes later as Andrija Zivkovic feeds Sergej Milinkovic-Savic with the ball and the Lazio midfielder took a couple of touch to set himself up before firing into the bottom corner.

Aleksandar Mitrovic made it 3-1 for the European side and Zivkovic gets his second assist of the game, seven minutes before the hour mark. Serbia scored all their first three goals from three shots on target.

Rigobert Song made an alteration after going two behind with Vincent Aboubakar replacing midfielder, Martin Hongla and that appeared the change that changed their fate in the match and perhaps this tournament.

Inside ten minutes of coming on, Aboubakar made a well timed run, beating the offside flag albeit he much have thought he was off but the flag remained down.

The striker made his way to the edge of the box, beating a recovering defender before lobbing the Goalkeeper with a delightful finish. The flag indeed went up in the end but after VAR consultation, the goal was awarded and Cameroon started to believe again.

The Indomitable Lions completed the comeback, two minutes later. Aboubakar again at the heart of things.

The striker beat Serbia’s offside line before teeing up Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting for a simple one time finish to level the score at 3-3.

The score finished level, and both sides now on a point each, await the result of the meeting between Brazil and Switzerland later in the day.

Cameroon end an eight game losing run in the FIFA World Cup, earning their first point in the competition since 2002.
