Sadio Mane hits Liverpool milestone as Liverpool crush Palace's crystals for ten from ten

It was another thrilling weekend of football actions in the English top-flight and Liverpool, The Reds that never walk alone continue their unbeaten run to maintain their status as title contenders this season, after a commanding 3-0 win over Crystal Palace on Saturday.

Liverpool started the weekend on the back of an impressive come from behind win over AC Milan in the Champions league on Wednesday and it took time before they finally gear into action, against The Eagles who put three with reply past Tottheham Hotspur the weekend before.

Sadio Mane put Jürgen Klopp side in front just before the break after Mohamed Salah's header from Kostantinos Tsmikas corner was superbly saved by Guaita, who could do nothing to prevent the Senegalese firing home the rebound.

It was Sadio Mane's 100th goal for Liverpool, in 224 appearances since moving from Southampton in the summer of 2016. It is also his 98th premier league goal, now two away from joining the 100th goal club in the English top division.

Mane 29, also becomes the first player in the history of the premier league to score in most consecutive games against a single team, after scoring for the ninth consecutive time against Palace.

Mohamed Salah doubled Liverpool's lead with his four league goal in the 78th minute, again from a Tsimikas, headed into the Egyptian path by Virgil van Dijk.

Salah has now scored 99 Premier league goals since making his Liverpool debut, at least 24 more than any other player in that time.

The icing on the cake came in the 89th minute, when Mohamed Salah's conrner was punched away by the Crystal Palace goalkeeper, but not away from Naby Keita, who volleyed a sensational effort into the far corner from the edge of the area.

Liverpool have now earned 13 points from possible 15, only dropping points against Chelsea in a 1-1 draw at Anfield.

Disappointing result for Patrick Vieira's Palace, who could not build on their big win over Tottenham Hotspur last time out, losing for the 10th consecutive game against Liverpool.
